Our Process

Every House of Felix session begins with a sense of wonder—and a bit of thoughtful planning behind the scenes. Whether you’ve booked an Explorer Session or a Storybook Session, the process is designed to be simple, supportive, and just as magical as the final images.

Step One: The Creative Consult

We begin with a 30-minute call to get to know your child—their spark, their style, the things that light them up. Whether they dream of being an astronaut, a tiny conductor, or just love painting or puddle-jumping, we explore which direction feels most inspiring.

Step Two: Curating the Vision

From there, we begin building the world. For Explorer Sessions, we guide you in selecting from the House of Felix wardrobe collection or styling pieces you already own or purchase for the occasion. For Storybook Sessions, we take it a step further: scouting the perfect location, securing permits if needed, sourcing wardrobe, and preparing everything behind the scenes to bring the story to life.

Step Three: The Session

This is where the magic unfolds. On session day, your child gets to play, explore, and simply be themselves while we gently guide the experience and capture each moment.

Step Four: The Reveal

Within two weeks, you’ll receive a beautifully edited gallery of final images for personal use. From there, we guide you through selecting your custom-framed art print, and for Storybook Sessions, we begin designing your linen photo coffee table book.
